Lisco, Upgrading And Development Of The Eaf’s Compensatıon Equipment Control System

Project Year 2025 Project Location Lebda Project Description Design, engineering, supply, and start-up of a Static VAR Compensation (SVC) system for the existing Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) at Libya Iron and Steel Co. The current obsolete system will be replaced with state-of-the-art protection relays, thyristor units, harmonic filters, and an overall control system. This critical upgrade will ensure a stable and healthy grid across LISCO and enable the safe and efficient operation of the EAFs, which are the heart of the plant.
